WIP: Baby Sophisticate

WIP: Baby Sophisticate

My previously mentioned neck/shoulder issues seem to have resolved themselves, so I’ve started knitting again. Currently on my needles is the Baby Sophisticate sweater, a free pattern by Linden Heflin (Ravelry). I’m making this for a coworker who’s having her first baby in October. I’m so excited and happy for her!

This is my first time working with Madelinetosh Vintage and I LOVE it. It has a very nice twist and the stitch definition is amazing. I haven’t knit cables in a long time, but if I had a cable project in mind, I’d likely use Vintage. I have two skeins and I’m alternating them every other row, per the suggestion on the label. This colorway is Magnolia Leaf.

Next on the needles, I have plans to cast on Aviendha. I ordered a kit from Knit Purl in Portland, which is where I met up with Aubrey. 🙂 The shop owner was lovely when I visited in March and I’ve been receiving their newsletter since my visit, so I just couldn’t resist!
